Morala Fort, Ashti, Beed







Morala Fort is a historical fort located in Morala village, Ashti taluka, Beed district, Maharashtra, approximately 30 km from Ashti town. It is a local landmark associated with Dharmaji Prataprao Garje, a Vanjari leader from Hatola village in Ashti taluka, who is believed to have led one of the earliest uprisings against British and Nizam forces in the region in 1818. The fort served as his stronghold during the resistance, where he and his followers defended against British troops led by Mortza Yarjungu and Lieutenant Sutherland.


The fort is recognized as a point of historical interest and has an average visitor rating of 4.6 out of 5 stars on travel platforms
