Dalhousie is a small hill station town located in the Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, India. It is situated on the western edge of the Dhauladhar mountain range, at an elevation of around 1,970 meters above sea level.

The town is named after Lord Dalhousie, who was the British Governor-General of India in the mid-19th century. It was established as a summer retreat for British officials and has since become a popular tourist destination.

Some of the major attractions in Dalhousie include Khajjiar, a scenic hill station known as the "Mini Switzerland of India," Dainkund Peak, which offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, and the Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary, which is home to a variety of flora and fauna.

The town is known for its picturesque colonial architecture, with many old buildings and churches dating back to the British era. It also has several shops and markets selling local handicrafts, woolen garments, and other souvenirs.

Dalhousie is well-connected by road to major cities in the region, including Pathankot, Amritsar, and Jammu. The nearest airport is in Pathankot, and the nearest railway station is in Pathankot and Chakki Bank. The best time to visit Dalhousie is between March and June, and from September to December.
