Calicut, also known as Kozhikode, is a city located in the southern state of Kerala, India. It is situated on the Malabar Coast and is known for its historic significance as a major trading center for spices, especially pepper. The city is well-connected by road, rail, and air. Calicut International Airport is located about 28 km from the city center and is the third-busiest airport in Kerala. The city also has a well-developed public transport system, including buses and taxis.
